Founded more than 40 years ago by Congressmen Henry Waxman and Howard Berman and former City Controller Rick Tuttle and others, Los Angeles County Young Democrats is the largest organization in California focused on giving young people a voice and a vehicle for activism in Democratic politics.

With more than 1,400 members and supporters, LACYD has helped dozens of local, state, and federal candidates into office – many of them Young Democrats themselves. We remain at the forefront of the work to keep Young Democrats engaged, informed, and heard on issues of importance to young people.
